Initial active connection rate among invited suppliers
Contractors onboarded in early rollout
Avetta empowered Altafiber to efficiently prequalify suppliers, monitor insurance, and track KPIs across dispersed sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and scalable operations as their fiber network expands.
Altafiber’s vision to provide complete fiber access to current and future markets is multi-faceted. Achieving and maintaining this level of connectivity required a carefully formed and monitored supply chain, along with advanced analytics to oversee site performance.
Hiring the right personnel was a challenge. Suppliers needed to meet industry-regulated mandates and Altafiber’s internal criteria. Before partnering with Avetta, Altafiber lacked a robust prequalification solution to thoroughly vet supplier safety and insurance policies. The scale of dispersed sites, each with unique requirements, further complicated the ability to track vendor KPIs such as hours worked at specific locations.
Altafiber’s connection with Avetta began before the fiber expansion project. Already part of Avetta’s supplier network, the company trusted Avetta’s capabilities and fast-tracked its selection process, choosing Avetta exclusively.
The company implemented three Avetta Connect™ solutions: supplier prequalification, insurance monitoring, and data analytics. Rollouts began in Ohio and Hawaii, where the fiber network was growing fastest.
Of the 96 suppliers initially invited, 31 are already active, achieving a 32% connection rate, with 37 more in the process of onboarding.
Despite the complexities of two time zones and diverse site requirements, onboarding was smooth. Suppliers were successfully assigned to the correct sites and connected to the platform.
Looking ahead, Altafiber plans to extend its fiber reach further. Avetta’s scalable Connect platform supports this growth, enabling expansion into new territories while maintaining supplier compliance, risk management, and KPI tracking.
