Avetta Honours 2026 APAC Customer Awards Winners

Annual Avetta APAC Customer Awards recognise outstanding achievements in health and safety, sustainability, workforce management and operational excellence

SYDNEY – 22 October 2026 – Avetta®, the leader in intelligent work readiness across global supply chains, has revealed its 2026 APAC customer award winners—including hiring clients, contractors and suppliers—that were recently celebrated at the Avetta Summit Series event in Sydney.

The Avetta APAC customer awards recognise organisations and individuals within the Avetta community that are demonstrating consistently high standards of safety, sustainability and operational management. In a year when the Avetta Summit Series showcased what it means to be Ready to Work, the APAC customer awards winners represent the very best of proactive, performance-driven operations amidst a backdrop of increasingly complex supply chains.

“This year’s APAC customer award winners epitomize true work readiness,” said Luke Boyle, Vice President of Operations, APAC at Avetta. “They’re leveraging technology to enhance safety, speed up preparedness and adopt real-time data and visibility to ensure their organisations are ready for the risks ahead. I congratulate each of them on their impressive accomplishments.”

The APAC customer award winners are:

Health & Safety Excellence Award

Metro Trains Melbourne

Avetta supported Metro Trains Melbourne’s safety improvements by enabling the rapid identification of suppliers that are fully compliant, require attention or present elevated risk. Metro Trains Melbourne performs well above industry benchmarks and does not permit work to commence with non-compliant suppliers.

PTM Pilbara Traffic Management

PTM Pilbara Traffic Management utilised Avetta to implement a structured alert monitoring and escalation process, which saw significant improvements in driver safety behaviour, including a 75% reduction in mobile phone usage alerts, a 90% reduction in seatbelt non-compliance and a total elimination of smoking and vaping in vehicles.

Operational Excellence Leader Award

Fyfe

Having Avetta in one platform has allowed Fyfe to conduct a smoother onboarding process for employees, reducing the time to get employees onsite and ensuring all notifications are acted upon promptly.

“It takes human interaction, teamwork and a platform like Avetta to make sure our people are ready to work,” said Shayley McKinnon, Project Support Officer at Fyfe. “Winning this award recognises how we have achieved significant operational efficiencies, automation, time and cost savings, all via the Avetta platform.”

Sustainability & ESG Impact Award

Yinson

Using Avetta, Yinson achieved significant improvements in supplier visibility, ESG data capture and compliance maturity, including a 77% supplier completion rate and a commitment that 100% of pre-qualified suppliers undergo detailed ESG screenings. It now has a measurable framework for monitoring ESG performance throughout the supplier network.

Innovation Champion Award

Maverick Industries

Avetta supported and strengthened Maverick’s Daily Prestart Performance Scorecard, lifting the standard of prestart quality across all project sites. This enhanced engagement at the start of each shift has improved planning accuracy and boosted predictive hazard identification and reporting. Today, 91% of all incident submissions are potential‑event reports—a leading‑indicator profile that has helped Maverick maintain more than a decade without a Lost Time Injury.

Yancoal

Yancoal and Avetta partnered to develop the Operator Onboarding Workflow Model. This replaced disconnected processes with a fully integrated workflow model and manages every stage of the competency journey within a single platform.

“The collaboration between Yancoal and Avetta has resulted in a fully integrated digital workforce competency ecosystem,” said Craig Hagan, Head of Training & Safety Culture at Yancoal. “This recognition is a testament to the commitment, teamwork and willingness to challenge conventional processes demonstrated by this important partnership.”

Rio Tinto

Rio Tinto transformed its workflows with Avetta, removing manual touchpoints and streamlining compliance, including reconfiguring 3,000 contractor data and training requirements in the process. Since doing so, Rio Tinto has saved roughly 61,250 person days per year and AUD$1.68 million in external training requirements.

Change Maker Award

Louise Russell, Lead Site Systems, BHP

Russel led a significant transformation of contractor compliance and supplier governance processes at BHP, which exposed several critical challenges. Throughout the transition, Russell worked closely with Avetta’s teams to improve contractor compliance oversight, manage training requirements and strengthen supplier visibility.

Chelsea Higgins, Operations Support, Longwall Haul

Higgins led a significant shift in Longwall Haul’s safety and compliance culture, turning a fragmented, reactive process into a structured and proactive approach. Using Avetta, she strengthened policies, closed compliance gaps and improved accountability, audit readiness and the quality of the organisation’s compliance framework.

Adam Rogers, AusPac Regional SHES Specialist, Emergency Management Security and Compliance, Orica

Rogers led the transformation of contractor assurance across Orica’s Australia Pacific region, taking a fragmented, inconsistent and reactive process and driving a proactive, risk-based approach across 11 regulatory jurisdictions, including Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Despite minimal resources or budget, he invested more than 5,000 hours, onboarded 320 contractors and established new governance structures.

Advancing Safety Culture Award

Harmon Transportation

With Avetta, Harmon Transportation transformed its safety culture through workforce engagement. The company achieved a perfect WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation with zero non-conformances supported by more than 1,000 proactive and voluntary employee safety, hazard, maintenance and improvement tickets lodged.

“Every single day, our people work tirelessly to make safety our top priority—not just for our staff, but for everyone we share the road and journey with,” said Paul Konstek, CEO at Harmon Transportation. “Thank you to Avetta for celebrating the dedication businesses bring to raising the bar for safety standards.”
