CitiPower and Powercor Australia partnered with Avetta to centralise contractor compliance, improve visibility across their supply chain and strengthen safety standards, while reducing the administrative burden.
Prior to adopting Avetta’s ESI Worker program, CitiPower and Powercor faced challenges in efficiently managing the training, qualifications and compliance records for workers in the field. Compliance was tracked using paper-based systems, which were time consuming, prone to errors, and required significant administrative effort. Trainers had to record competencies in a paper passport system manually, creating delays and inefficiencies in worker onboarding and compliance verification.

The ESI Worker system replaced the outdated paper-based passport, allowing CitiPower and Powercor to onboard workers more efficiently and verify their compliance through a unified system. Trainers can now log competencies quickly and accurately, while workers can access their training records via the mobile app, improving flexibility and reducing the administrative burden.

The digital platform has minimised the potential for human error that often arose from the previous paper-based system, leading to smoother operations and less follow-up on missing or incorrect information.
Trainers can now review multiple competencies for workers at once, with automatic notifications sent to the employer, worker and training provider upon completion. Additionally, desktop audits have replaced in-person audits, saving even more time and resources.
