Assessing vulnerabilities and increasing visibility of supply-chains in an unpredictable world is the need of hour.

Securing our Supply Chains requires the strategic strengthening of our Risk Governance Policies

Did you know?

According to the Gartner® research Report “As per the 2021 Gartner Supply Chain Risk and Resilience Survey, 78% of supply chain organizations either have a risk committee or will implement one in the next two years.”

Gartner

Recent history has highlighted many high-impact disruptions to global supply chains, ones that have had paradigm-shifting impacts on how industries operate. In this new normal, the increasing complexities of today’s supply chain, paired with the lack of visibility of key suppliers have led to heightened board-level focus on supply chain risk management. In response to these factors, CSCO’s have taken the initiative to strengthen their supply chain risk governance to effectively manage and accurately report, and act upon securing their supply chains.

KEY REPORT FINDINGS:

“As organizations experience a larger number of unfamiliar risks, coupled with management of familiar ones, there is an increasing need for oversight on end-to end risk management within the supply chain.
Organizations are not effectively considering the interdependencies between risks. Therefore, it’s difficult to know whether risk owners are selecting the right response — particularly for large, unfamiliar risk types.
Greater C-suite and board-level interest in supply chain risks translates into executives who are seeking assurance that these risks are well-managed, contingencies are in place and costs are considered as part of response.
Risk councils are an important aspect of risk governance and management, but they can become ineffective if they lack agenda or sufficient stakeholder support, or if the councils are not seen to add value.”

Risk councils play a pivotal role in this process, For CSCOs looking to make strategically beneficial choices in a constantly evolving threat landscape, the following Gartner research report we believe emphasises this fact by stressing on their purpose and effectiveness in the current ecosystem.
