Avetta Supports Tarmac's 2020 Innovation Challenge

Tarmac, the UK’s leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business, is partnering with Avetta to call on suppliers to develop ideas that contribute to a reduction in industry carbon emissions as it launches its 2020 Innovation Challenge.

Building on the great success of the inaugural 2018 Innovation Challenge which generated over 200 ideas from Tarmac’s supply chain, this year’s challenge has been expanded giving an even wider network of suppliers the chance to showcase their creative expertise.

The challenge

This year’s focus is on ideas which support the industry’s continued drive to reduce carbon, following the UK’s decision to become the first major economy to commit to achieving a net-zero society by 2050.

How to submit ideas?

Responses to the Innovation Challenge must be submitted by 21 February 2020. Once the closing date has passed, all entries will be reviewed, and the submitters of the best entries will be invited to the 2020 Innovation Forum on 26 March. During this event, submitters will present their ideas to a panel of senior business leaders who will select the winning ideas.

The winners will gain the opportunity to work in partnership with Tarmac with the option of seed capital to bring their ideas to life.
